    Green Grass of Tunnel
I started this a long time ago and abandoned it shortly after, but I picked it up again recently because I liked the composition a lot.
Underwater scenes are so nice to do! I’m addicted.

I changed how I draw Morgun’s horns a bit… I liked the idea of asymmetry because it’s symbolic of imperfection, which is a prevalent theme in the story.
The left horn (her left) is shaped the same as it was before, minus the “prongs” that made them look so much like antlers. The right horn is the same from the base to about halfway up, but then suddenly deforms and goes in a crescent shape.
This offsets Morgun’s halo slightly and makes her psychic abilities a little wonky. So you could say she’s partially disabled.

  8. I had to stop everything I was doing and doodle some Iona.

She’ll always be my personal favorite among my characters. To be honest, there’s not a single other who even comes close in terms of how much thought I’ve put into them.

I just hardly ever talk about Iona or her story openly. But it’ll be my biggest and best, by far. That’s something I’m sure of.

Finally nailed a look for Leaf. Oddly enough he’s changed the most and required the most work of any of the characters so far. His personality has done a 180° since I conceived him, and thus his design has done the same - he started out as this slightly-cocky, has-his-shit-together neat freak who looks down on unusual people a little for not living up to his standards (which morgun changes of course). From there, I changed him into a sniveling social outcast with no confidence whatsoever, but I hated that idea so I scrapped it entirely and went back to square one, taking the first formula and making him a little less of a dick, a little younger and a little more nerdy. The result is a leaf who is very human and who I’m actually really excited to start writing for. He is not a jerk, but he has self esteem and a bit of an attitude. He is the kind of person who’s life is lacking a lot but he doesn’t realize it because he doesn’t understand (or care) what he’s missing. He’ll change a lot throughout the story, as will Morgun. They’ll change together. :3

speedpaint that started as a frustrated scribbling of the pattern in the background, then the rest happened. about 15 minutes give or take.
I always kinda default to solitary, shadowy faceless figures in moody environments when I vent art. That’s weird.
