If people laugh at you for having an ‘unrealistic’ goal, it means they’re too scared of failure to do it themselves and they hate the thought of you succeeding at it.

Writing believable relationships is difficult.
Especially when basically your whole story is based around one main relationship, making it convincing and well-paced is no easy task. In addition, it’s hard to know how much development it takes before the average reader will start really becoming emotionally attached to the characters.
